We had been discussing succession planning at Piercy & Co for a number of years. Our concerns were how to protect our reputation and retain our studio culture. We met Michael Holmes of Zome who introduced us to the idea of establishing an employee ownership trust (EOT). After careful consideration it was decided that this represented the best form of succession plan for the business and we engaged with Whitemoor Davis to deliver an EOT for us. Zome were an excellent partner in the establishment of our EOT, project managing the process, appointing and managing the lawyers, dealing with valuations and tax clearances plus assisting with the communications with key stakeholders. They carefully managed all the component parts and made the process as seamless as it could be for us. They are able to communicate complex issues avoiding impenetrable language or legal jargon.
